Hello September!
We are excited to usher in the month of September with a fantastic Market Day. It's Labor Day weekend, and there are many families who go away on one last vacation to commemorate the Summer. Others, though, will stay local, enjoying the warm weather, cookouts with loved ones, and capitalizing on the wonderful freshness of the West Chester Growers Market!
Not only will you find fresh produce and local products at the Market this weekend, but we'll be celebrating the Labor Day holiday with our annual Labor Day Picnic! We'll be grillin' hot dogs and serving lemonade! Make sure you get there early, just in case supplies run low :)
We'll have all of our wonderful bi-weekly vendors! Stock up on wine, coffee, tea and goat cheese!
The new season will bring many new products, fresh crops with the harvest. Check in each week so you know what we'll have on hand.

For Labor Day weekend, we have a good selection of chevres- soft goat cheeses- and two seasonal aged goatcheeses- Purple Passion tm- aged with lavender—tastes great with fruit—especially raspberries- and Herbalicious tm- aged with herbs from our garden—perfect for a sunset, chair, and a cold drink!
We will also have 3 flavors of goat milk caramel sauce for your holiday ice cream sundaes- yum!
Ellen April will be at the market with their luxurious soaps and body products, including Ocean Breeze which is back in stock this week. Soapmaker's update... a Fall classic, our Pumpkin Spice soap is curing and will be at the market in late September.
For your Labor Day Celebration, enjoy grilling some of our many fresh meats, such as steaks, sausages, hot dogs, patties, chicken breasts, ground turkey, ham steaks, and bacon. Or take a turkey or chicken pot pie to your family and friends get-together. For your back-to-school lunches, we have sliced bologna, chipped ham. Chipped beef, and plenty of farm fresh eggs. Thank you for a great summer as we move forward together for a wonderful fall.

This week we will have 25lb boxes of #1 plum tomatoes available – perfect for making fresh sauce or juice! We will also have plenty of fresh produce for your Labor Day cookouts.
Available this weekend: Sweet corn (white & bicolor varieties), watermelon (sangria & sugar baby varieties), cantaloupes, bell peppers (red & green varieties), Chinese cabbage, beans (green & yellow varieties), winter squash, spaghetti squash, potatoes (red & white varieties – available in half peck baskets too!), onions (red, yellow & white varieties) and tomatoes (your choice of yellow or red in large, plum & grape varieties).

Schaeffer Flowers
End of summer is the time of year for the very fragrant tuberoses. We will have lots on Saturday. Just a small bunch will fill a room with fragrance.
