THIS WEEK - October 22 - at the WCGM

Could you ask for a better Market Forecast for tomorrow?  Perfect autumn morning in store: crisp air, bright sun, and a great Market in store! On our Facebook page, we asked what your favorite hot beverage is to drink on a cold morning at the Market. So far COFFEE is winning - but there is still time to cast your vote!  Be sure to grab your hot drink before walking down to the corner of Church and Chestnut!

Pumpkins, apples.  Be sure to stop by!

NEWS:  We will be getting a holiday sneak preview from our evergreen guy, Kevin Keeport, tomorrow morning!  He will have samples of the evergreen wreathes and swags offered in November and December (in December, he also sells Christmas Trees!). He will be taking orders as well.

Here is what our vendors have to share....

Lindenhof Farm wants everyone to know that fresh Thanksgivng turkeys will be delivered on Nov 19. That’s less than five weeks away! To pre-order go to www.lindenhoffarm.net. These are all-natural, pasture-raised fresh dressed turkeys. All sizes available. Right now they also have plenty of fresh chickens and turkeys, eggs, chicken pies, turkey pies, and plenty of beef, and pork items. Lindenhof Farm will continue to be at the West Chester market throughout the remaining fall and winter weeks. During Winter Markets, the market will be open on the first and third Saturday, every month, 10am to 12pm.

Ellen April will be at the market this week with all their skin-friendly products. They're almost sold out of their Pumpkin Spice soap, so stop by early if you want to snag one of the last couple of bars. Charcoal Tea tree soap will be back this week. What a terrific gift this BLACK soap  would be for the Halloween party hostess!

Schaeffer Flowers will have lots of beautiful dahlias this week.  They also announce that Kevin Keeport will be at the Market with evergreen samples for the holidays. He will be taking orders as well (see above).

Applied Climatology, LLC says FALL is for PLANTING! This week, they will be offering 41 varieties of perennials and shrubs on sale.  Bonus offers: Spend $50, get $5 off your purchase.  Spend $75, get $10 off your purchase. Spend $100 and get $15 off your purchase.  Great deal!

Northstar Orchard writes, “October apples are in and they're better than ever! Fabulous flavors from sweet to tart await. Some of the varieties we may have available at the market include: Stellar (a yellow beauty with a sweet flavor and crunch that might put Honeycrisp to shame), Emperor (a dark red, rock solid sweet apple with hints of cherry flavor), Golden Russet (a 400-year-old antique with fabulous sweet flavor - you'll get hooked), Reinette Simerenko (a green, tart and juicy classic Eastern European variety with lots more flavor and charm than ol' Granny Smith!). Plus, we'll still have Florina (aka 'The Bubblegum apple') and Sugar Snap. Apple season doesn't get much better than this! Asian pears are still going strong with Hosui, Yoinashi, and super-crisp Olympic are starting to make their appearance. Now's the time for fabulous fall fruit flavors!”

What a wonderful way to start the weekend!

I'll see YOU at the Market!
