Don't forget to check out Jeff and Joanne Porter's The Chile Spot. Jeff and I got to talk a few weekends ago, and he explained to me that the goal of The Chile Spot is to offer unique chile pepper products, not just your "run-of-the-mill" salsa. He showed me all of the varieties of Pepper Jams they had to offer (and I tried a few - they are GOOD). One might not be aware, but Pepper Jams are quite versatile. They pair nicely with cheese. Grab a jar of Strawberry Habanero Jam, and spoon some over a block of Feta Cheese (try some sheep's milk feta from Highland Farm, located directly NEXT to The Chile Spot!). If Feta is not your style, try some Peach Mango Habanero Jam over some regular cream cheese. Jeff even said that Pepper Jam's are good over ICE CREAM. Now THIS I HAVE to try!
North Star Orchard is still waiting for the perfect time to showcase their crop at the WCGM. They will not be here this week, but keep an eye out (and fingers crossed) for an appearance next week!
Ellen April's Handcrafted Soap will continue to benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand with purchase of her specialty soap "Lemon Fizz."
To top it off, the WCGM will be featuring 2 violinists for the Market Music this week. Classic!
The next few weeks on the WCGM Calendar are PACKED, so check back here next week for upcoming events and a Market Review!
See you tomorrow at The Market!

Please post the address/location of the growers market . . . either in a very conspicuous location at the top of the blog, or at the bottom of every post (also in every post at the ChesCo Moms' blog). I'm a newcomer who has no idea where to find it, and I'm sure I'm not the only one!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the tip! I didn't realize it wasn't posted! I will address that now (and will put a header on each of the future Chesco Mom's blog posts for the WCGM as well). If all else fails, you can find the address at www.westchestergrowersmarket.com - it's at the corner's of Church and Chestnut Sts in downtown West Chester!
